There is much debate about the names & gifts of the Three Kings, since the Scriptures do not name these venerable men and designate which gift was given by whom. The Catholic Art Company chooses to follow the tradition of the Historia Trium Regum ( History Of The Three Kings) by John Of Hildesheim for the sake of distinguishing these old Saints.

St. Melchior is often referred to as the oldest member of the Three Kings. John of Hildeshiem relates to us that he was the King of Nubia and Arabia and brought the gift of gold to Jesus, signifying Christ's Kingship over the World.

All Three of the Kings are buried in a large gilded and decorated triple sarcophagus placed above and behind the high altar of Cologne Cathedral in western Germany.

Sir Peter Paul Rubens was a Flemish artist. He is considered the most influential artist of Flemish Baroque tradition. Rubens' highly charged compositions reference erudite aspects of classical and Christian history
